Planting Seeds

Teachers plant seeds that allow us to grow. We plant those seeds in our students. In 1996, Dr. Melanie Booth-Butterfield asked me to help her with planning the 1997 Eastern Communication Association conference in Baltimore, MD. A seed was planted that led to to my planning ECA in 2019. I had no idea that this seed would lead to my appearance on NCA’s ballot for the position of 2nd Vice President. In honor of all those who plant seeds, I planted seeds on October 1st, 2025 just after learning I was chosen as a candidate for NCA 2nd VP. The journey of those seeds is below.
